Which Juicers

This light, durable and compact polycarbonate juicer will do most fruits and vegetables and in particular, wheatgrass. It is very good value for money as it comes with a strong suction base that is rated up to 50kg of suction power, and the latest Mk3 also comes with an additional stainless steel clamp for backup grip or clamp grip only. It comes with 3 years warranty.

Handy Juicer (poly)
Again a similar unit to above, only larger in size, and with a barrel strainer, the juice extracting part is same design as the electric Samson, Oscar etc. a proven juice extraction assembly. Again, you do need a smooth surface as above. 12 months warranty
The handle is only short on this model and carrots do need more effort than normal, but the inbuilt gearbox makes most juicing easier.

Stainless manual/GrassSqueezer
Juices wheatgrass and leafy greens best. Worm wheel press action, or triturating. (As per Dr. Walkers reference to cold pressing, leaving a maximum amount of antioxidants) Most high speed commercial juicers are centrifugal, which does much damage to the fibre, and oxidisation occurs, apparent when the juice goes brown. 200mg of wheatgrass gives approx 126ml of juice. 3 years warranty

Similar to Back to Basics type sj-27, will extract juice from wheatgrass, and all leafy greens, easy to maintain with above action, will not rust, will last a lifetime.
Produce must be pushed in with pusher. Also not for hard vegetables. 200 mg of wheatgrass gave approx 126ml of juice
Standard juicer used world wide. Grade 304 st/steel. 5 years warranty all parts .5 years warranty
Fruit and vegetables easier in next model, as it requires a little more effort to push in with this model.

Stainless manual larger capacity BL-30 B
Much larger worm wheel (auger) and barrel, that is extra efficient and can do most things the electric juicers can do, a pleasure to use, as it pulls in the grass and does every thing you would expect from a good quality hand juicer, including homogenising, blank plate supplied. Grade 304 st/steel.
5 years warranty all parts. This enhanced version has extra strainers compared to basic BL-30 sold elsewhere.
Quicker and easier to clean than the other two models. The unit is excellent for grass and all leafy greens, parsley, apples, celery, etc, but is less efficient with hard root vegetables like carrots which must be cut length wise in strips, pulp is not as dry as Samson and Twin Health for hard vegetables.
200 mg of wheatgrass gave us approx 126ml of juice, results can vary slightly from juicer to juicer, close to electric juicers. 5 years warranty.

This juicer is very similar to the LexSun model, so rather then duplicate, we have removed it from our range..

Electric Compact Juicer (Auger type extraction, simulated cold press action) with smaller motor.
Least costly of electric juicers, with added bonus meat mincer, The actual worm wheel (auger) is made out of nylon.

Electric Lexen Juicer (Auger type extraction, simulated cold press action) The only juicer without the need of a sieve or juicing screen.
Excellent for wheatgrass and leafy greens, less efficient for hard root vegetables like carrot, beetroot etc.
But, easiest to clean of all juicers!

Electric LexSun Juicer (Auger type extraction, simulated cold press action) The very latest juicer on the market, some say the very best up to date, August 2006, as it extracts more juice from carrots and beetroot, considered to be the most difficult to juice.
Also excells with sloppy type produce like watermelon, pineapple and oranges, that block most juicers faster.

Kempo Juicer ( also sold as Hippocrates ) with 2 sets of st/steel gears, 100 Watts, but geared to increase power to 1/4 HP,
triturating action as above, this juicer has been found to be very efficient and performs well. 10 years warranty on motor and body!
Twin gears do require a little more cleaning time, but do hard root vegetables very well.

Twin Health with one set of larger fully st/steel twin gears, which is beyond doubt close to the best
Nearly 3/4 HP (500 watts) maximum. The longer it runs, the more efficient it becomes, as this unit initially has a back up of pulp before producing the juice, the strainer rarely blocks with this system. Favours root vegetables, giving at least 20% more juice, but does not like too many sloppy fruits, which suit the single auger model better.
Note that this model is not designed to grind coffee and to make pastas, which require nozzles as supplied with Comact, LexSun, Lexen, and Kempo
Not good with Pineapple by itself, but ok to mix between other friuts/vegetables, also use skin and inner core.
